One of the newborn health indicators is the newborn's weight. Birth weight is influenced by the nutritional status of the mother. One of the nutritional status of pregnant women can be known by measuring the upper arm circumference (LILA). WHO says 40% of maternal deaths in developing countries are related to chronic energy shortages. Pregnant women who suffer from malnutrition such as chronic energy deficiency have a greater risk of illness. So it is very important to maintain the nutrition of pregnant women in order to prevent the increasing morbidity and mortality rates of mothers and fetuses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the upper arm circumference of pregnant women and the weight of newborns in the village of Rasau, District of Renah Pamenang. This research is an analytical research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were mothers giving birth in the village of Rasau during 2022 with a total population of 48 respondents and then sampling was carried out using the total sampling technique, but there was 1 respondent who was excluded because he was included in extraction exclusion so that the total sample was 47 respondents. The data taken is secondary data contained in the medical records of the auxiliary health center in the village of Rasau. The results of the study obtained the results of a p-value of 0.000 indicating that there was a relationship between the circumference of the upper arm of pregnant women and the weight of the newborn
