HUBUNGAN BUDAYA DENGAN TERJADINYA UNMET NEED KB DI DESA LANGLING WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS PEMATANG KANDIS KABUPATEN MERANGIN

Couples of Reproductive Age in Indonesia in 2018 who did not need family planning were 6,868,882 PUS or 17.91%, in Jambi province there were 190,708 PUS or 30.62%. One of the factors that can cause unmet need for family planning is the side effects and the culture of society. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between culture and side effects with Unmet Need for KB. This research is a quantitative study using a cross sectional approach. The location of this research will be carried out in Langling Village, the Pematang Kandis Health Center, Bangko District. The population in this study were all PUS women in Langling Village, totaling 302 and a sample of 75 people. Univariate and bivariate data analysis. The occurrence of Unmet Need for Family Planning for PUS Women, namely 50 respondents (66.67%) was influenced by cultural factors, not influencing culture, namely as many as 25 respondents (33.33%). Chi Square statistical test results (X2) X2 count 14.245 > X2 table 3.841 there is a relationship between culture and the occurrence of Unmet Need KB. The occurrence of unmet need for family planning is caused by more respondents who influence culture. There is a cultural connection with the occurrence of Unmet Need KB. It is hoped that the Puskesmas will provide counseling and outreach about family planning.
